4. Sodas and energy drinks
Eliminating soda is a good idea in an ADHD diet. These drinks contain sugars, sweeteners, caffeine, corn syrup, and other ingredients that worsen ADHD symptoms—in a study, it was found that soda consumption increased hyperactivity, easy distractibility, and even aggression and social withdrawal. Likewise, energy drinks contain sugar, sweeteners, artificial coloring, caffeine, and other stimulants, placing them high on the list of things to avoid consuming with ADHD.

5. Frozen fruits and vegetables
While fresh fruits and vegetables are very healthy for everyone, including those with ADHD, some frozen fruits and vegetables contain artificial coloring that can exacerbate ADHD symptoms. Always make sure to check labels for such ingredients.
